Joyful ARTist Home

What inspired you to start your vintage shop/boutique?

As an artist and joyologist, I’m endlessly drawn to the unique and storied—pieces that spark inspiration and fuel my passion to create. Over the years, this calling has grown into a collection (okay, many collections!) of treasures still waiting to tell their tales. Some find their way into cozy corners of local vintage shops, others come to life in gatherings at my barn studio. Here, I host workshops, offer event rentals, create floral designs, and dream up large-scale art installations. I adore this community and find deep joy in sharing all of it with you.

How long have you been in business, and how has your shop evolved over time?

I’ve been creating and sharing my work for over two decades. My “shop” has taken on many forms and moved with me over the years—each space a new way to connect, inspire, and build community around creativity and joy.

What types of vintage items do you carry?

I specialize in handcrafted, decorative pieces—each one repurposed, reimagined, and made with heart. From home décor that's painted, sculpted, or lovingly reworked, to seasonal floral designs using dried and pressed blooms, my work is ever-evolving with the rhythm of the seasons.

How do you source your vintage pieces? Do you have a favorite story behind a special find?

I source my items with intention and curiosity—through travels, estate sales, flea markets, and quiet treasure hunts in unexpected places. I’m drawn to pieces with soul and a story, always looking for beauty in the forgotten or overlooked. Each find is chosen for its potential to be reimagined, repurposed, or simply loved as it is.

Are there any rare or unique items currently in your collection?

Yes! One of my most treasured collections is a large and unique assortment of impressionistic oil paintings. They’ve become a deep well of inspiration for my recent creative work. I’ve transformed their imagery into handmade clothing and original designs, launched an online print shop, and even created a rolling art cart wrapped in vinyl-covered versions of the artwork. It’s a collection that keeps evolving—and keeps me inspired.

Do you offer any special services, such as styling assistance or custom restorations?

Yes, I offer a range of special services rooted in creativity and connection. I’ve styled weddings, venues, and intimate gatherings—sometimes even hosting the ceremony myself in my studio’s charming little chapel. I love bringing spaces to life, whether it’s dressing up shop windows, setting the scene for a celebration, or transforming homes for the holidays. I’ve also cast pregnant bellies, lovers’ hands, and children’s feet—always seeking to preserve meaningful moments in lasting, artful ways.

Can shoppers purchase items online, or is everything sold in-store?

The best way to purchase right now is through my online shop or by reaching out directly via Instagram. I love connecting one-on-one and often share available pieces, custom options, and special releases there first!

Do you host events, workshops, or pop-ups?

Yes, occasionally! I have a spacious studio that’s perfect for hosting workshops, pop-ups, and even visiting artists. I love creating space for creativity to flourish—just reach out if you're curious or have something in mind. I'm always open to collaboration and connection.

Any fun or memorable experiences with customers you’d like to share?

We all need someone in our corner—and for me, that’s been Lorzel. Everything she creates is filled with magic, heart, and fierce love. She’s the reason I’m here: to connect with more kindred spirits who share her vision, her moxie, and her beautifully bold way of seeing the world.
