Rusty Roots Show
What inspired you to start your vintage shop/boutique?
When I was little my grandparents used to take me to the Antique shops, thrifting, and to auctions, so I have always had a love for Antiques and Vintage. I have an old soul!
How long have you been in business, and how has your shop evolved over time?
We held our first market in 2011 and never looked back. We started out with 19 of us in the Sears parking lot, within a few short years we outgrew the parking lot and went on to the big times at venues. We spread our wings and traveled to other cities doing shows in California. We have recently been doing pop-up stores and are now rooted in Tulare California.
What types of vintage items do you carry?
Our vendors carry a very wide variety of Antiques and Vintage anything from fashion, Art, home decor, old signs, gas pumps, cast iron, metal, old tools and more.
How do you source your vintage pieces? Do you have a favorite story behind a special find?
The items are sold by vendors who sell at our shows.
Are there any rare or unique items currently in your collection?
Each show is as unique as the next, there is always something new and exciting.
Do you offer any special services, such as styling assistance or custom restorations?
Some of our vendors offer cast iron restoration, furniture repair and restoration .
Can shoppers purchase items online, or is everything sold in-store?
Our vendors sell at the store and online.
Do you host events, workshops, or pop-ups?
Yes, our primary business is Shows but occasionally we will do a pop-up store. Our website keeps you up to date on what we are doing.
Any fun or memorable experiences with customers you’d like to share?
I'd say one of the most exciting things to happen to us was having a vendor come from England and sell at our event. That was an honor!
